After his internship at the Hospital of Saint Raphael of Yale University, he returned to the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary to complete his ophthalmology residency. He received his Vitreo-Retinal fellowship training at Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit. He became Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology with a 99-percentile score in the written exam.
