Steven Bodine, MD

Dr. Steven Bodine is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in the medical and surgical management of vitreoretinal disorders. He holds a position at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine / Montefiore Medical Center as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology where he teaches and lectures resident physicians. Dr. Bodine has also been published in major scientific journals and is involved in ongoing research projects as well as clinical trials.
Dr. Bodine earned his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He then completed a two year fellowship in vitreoretinal disease and surgery at the Schepens Research Institute and the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary at Harvard Medical School. Throughout his career, he has received multiple awards and recognitions, including as one of Castle Connolly’s “Top Doctors” of ophthalmology.
Dr. Bodine has published in major scientific journals, including Immunology, Mutation Research, Annals of Ophthalmology, Ophthalmology Management, and others. He is also a participating member of several professional societies, including the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Schepens International Society, the Westchester County Medical Society, the Aspen Retinal Detachment Society, the New York Ophthalmological Society, and the American Society of Retina Specialists.
